The game between closely ranked teams ended with 18th ranked Volcanes' (2-34) road loss to seventeenth ranked Jaguares (2-31) 93-99. Jaguares outrebounded Volcanes 31-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American forward Jermaine Johnson (201-85, college: Charleston) who scored that evening 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import forward CamRon Clay (203) supported him with 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 34 points (!!!) by swingman Juan Pablo Bravo (191) did not help to save the game for Volcanes. American guard Cheyenne Moore (198-84, college: Georgetown, KY) added 19 points for the guests. Five Jaguares and four Volcanes players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Jaguares maintains seventeenth position with 2-31 record. Volcanes lost seventh consecutive game. Volcanes at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay dead last with 34 lost games. Jaguares' next round opponent will be higher ranked Potros (#11) in Ciudad Obregon and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Volcanes will play at home against Toros (#5) in Nuevo Laredo.
