No shocking result in a game in Durango where eighth ranked Lobos Grises (22-14) smashed 14th ranked Algodoneros (8-17) 105-84. The winners were led by American forward Kenya Capers (194-73, college: Houston) who scored that evening 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international swingman Jovan Harris (191-81, college: USF) supported him with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Lobos Grises' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by American swingman Blake Walker (196-82, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Algodoneros. His fellow American import power forward Lee Cook (208-80, college: Bowie St.) added 16 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lobos Grises moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lechugueros and Huracanes. Algodoneros lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Lobos Grises' next round opponent will be higher ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (#3) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Algodoneros will play against Halcones Rojos (#4) in Veracruz.
