Rather expected game in Monterrey where 5th ranked Halcones Rojos (25-11) were defeated by third ranked Fuerza Regia (27-9) 80-72. The winners were led by American forward Jeremis Smith (203-86, college: Georgia Tech) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and guard Michael Gale (193-82, college: Centenary) supported him with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 16 points by Puerto Rican guard Carlos Rivera (187-83, college: Hofstra, agency: Paris Global Sports) did not help to save the game for Halcones Rojos. American-Puerto Rican forward Carmelo Lee (201-77, college: Long Beach St., agency: Paris Global Sports) added 16 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fuerza Regia have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Pioneros. Halcones Rojos at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 11 games lost.
