The game in Wulguru was quite interesting. Second ranked Perth Wildcats (11-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Townsville Crocodiles (10-7). Perth Wildcats managed to secure a 6-point victory 91-85. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Townsville Crocodiles. Perth Wildcats made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Townsville Crocodiles 43-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by the former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St., agency: Warren Sports International) who scored that evening 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and international swingman Stephen Weigh (198-87) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Even 19 points by American guard Will Blalock (183-83, college: Iowa St., agency: Priority Sports) did not help to save the game for Townsville Crocodiles. The former international power forward Russell Hinder (208-79, college: Augusta St.) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Four Townsville Crocodiles players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 11-5 record behind leader Breakers. Townsville Crocodiles at the other side dropped to the third place with seven games lost. Perth Wildcats' next round opponent will be league's leader New Zealand Breakers in Auckland and it will be for sure the game of the week. Townsville Crocodiles will play on the road against Kings in Sydney.
