Regular Season Round 4: 36ers - Kings 87-75
Date: November 6, 2010
There was no surprise in Findon where 9th ranked Kings (1-14) were defeated by sixth ranked Adelaide 36ers (5-9) 87-75. They made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Adelaide 36ers players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Kings' players. 25 personal fouls committed by Kings helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American guard Troy DeVries (193-82, college: N.Mexico) who scored that evening 18 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Craig Winder (188-84, college: Texas, agency: Prossin Sports Management) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) by guard Luke Cooper (183-84, college: Alaska-Anch.) did not help to save the game for Kings. The former international center Julian Khazzouh (211-86) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Four Kings players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Adelaide 36ers went down to seventh position due to points difference. Kings lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Adelaide 36ers' next round opponent will be league's leader New Zealand Breakers in Auckland and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kings will play at home against Townsville Crocodiles (#3) in Wulguru.
