No shocking result in a game when second ranked Toros (19-4) crushed 15th ranked Titanes (6-16) in Mexico City 84-65. American guard Anthony Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV) orchestrated the victory with double-double 28 points and 15 rebounds. His countryman guard Mike Helms (184-82, college: Oakland) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Cameroonian forward Salomon Angounou (202-83, college: Arizona St., agent: Larry Williams) answered with double-double 18 points and 12 rebounds and forward Christopher Silva () added 14 points and 5 rebounds for Titanes. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Toros has an impressive series of six victories in a row comparing to nine consecutive losses by Titanes. Toros (19-4) is a new league leader. They share that position with Halc.Xalapa. Titanes dropped to the fifteenth place with 6-16 record. Toros are looking forward to the next round to face Angeles (#6) in Puebla which should be theoretically an easy game. Titanes will play on the road against Fuerza Regia (#4) hoping to prove their supporters that they can break losing series.
