Very significant was Angeles' (#6) 84-74 home victory against second-best Toros ending at the same time the series of six consecutive victories of Toros. The winners were led by American-Venezuelan forward Jermaine Walker (198-77, college: Miami (FL)) who had that evening 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Venezuelan center Luis Bethelmy (200-86) who supported him with 24 points. Even 27 points and 5 rebounds by American-Puerto Rican guard Wilfredo Pagan (184-76, agent: Jose F. Paris) did not help to save the game for Toros.
