There was no surprise when 9th ranked Moycullen (1-8) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Belfast Star (2-5) 82-69. The best player for the winner was American forward Clayton Longmire (201, college: St.Rose (NY)) who had 30 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Ferghal Toner (192-83) helped with 11 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Mason Ambler (198-85, college: Coker, agent: Ruud Harrewijn) produced double-double 35 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and forward Stephen Tummon (197-90) added 6 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and giving the chance to rest for starting five. Moycullen (1-8) added third loss to their record. Belfast Star maintains fourth position. Moycullen dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Belfast Star are looking forward to the next round to face higher ranked DCU Saints in Dublin. Moycullen will play at home against Neptune (#8) hoping to prove their fans that they can break losing series.
