There was no surprise when 7th ranked Maccabi Haifa (2-4) was defeated at home by third ranked Hapoel J-M (4-2) 93-76. The biggest contributor to a victory was international guard Yogev Ohayon (189-87, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) with 19 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Jason Rich (191-86) helped with 17 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Larry O'Bannon (194-83, college: Louisville, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) who recorded 21 points and naturalized French forward Elishay Kadir (202-87, agent: Avi Zilberman) added 17 points and 9 rebounds. Maccabi Haifa added third loss to their record. Thanks to that win Hapoel J-M moved-up to second place. Maccabi Haifa dropped to the seventh place with four games lost. They share it with Elitzur Netanya and Ironi Ashkelon. Hapoel J-M are looking forward to the next round to face higher ranked Macc.Rishon in Holon. Maccabi Haifa will have a break next round.
