Regular Season Round 12: Akita NH - Tokyo Apache 87-99

Date: November 21, 2010
I am not sure if we can call it an upset between close teams when 5th ranked Akita (4-8) lost at home to sixth ranked Tokyo Apache (4-4) 99-87. It was a good game for American guard Byron Eaton (180-86, college: Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 6 assists. His countryman power forward Robert Swift (213-85, college: High School) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Tokyo Apache's coach Bob Hill allowed to play his deep bench players giving the chance to rest for starting five. American forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) replied with double-double 26 points and 10 rebounds and his countryman forward Antonio Burks (198-82, college: Stephen F. Austin) added 18 points and 5 rebounds for Akita. Tokyo Apache (4-4) (4-4) has a solid series of three victories in a row. They jumped to the fifth spot. Akita dropped to the sixth place with 4-8 record. They have the same record like Kyoto Hannaryz and Miyazaki. Tokyo Apache will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Akita will play on the road against Saitama Bron. (#7) hoping to win this game.
