An interesting game was also tenth ranked Ironi Ashkelon (2-4) victory on the court of higher ranked Maccabi Rishon (3-3) 83-73. It was significant upset for the host team. American guard Desmon Farmer (195-81, college: USC) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and his countryman forward Rahshon Turner (201-75, college: Fairleigh Dickinson, agent: Michael Hart) helped with 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Ironi Ashkelon's coach Ariel Beit-Halamy allowed to play his deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Dwayne Mitchell (194-82, college: La-Lafayette, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) with double-double 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and his countryman forward Aaron McGhee (202-79, college: Oklahoma) with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Thanks to that win Ironi Ashkelon moved-up to seventh place. Maccabi Rishon dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share it with Galil Gilboa and Maccabi Ashdod. Ironi Ashkelon will meet next round bottom-ranked Hapoel Holon (#10) on the road. Maccabi Rishon will have a break next round.
