Regular Season Round 10: Clinicas Rincon - Girona 64-82

I am not sure if we can call it an upset between close teams in Malaga where 9th ranked Clinicas Rincon (4-6) was defeated by tenth ranked Girona (5-5) 82-64. Swingman David Navarro (192-83) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) to led the charge for the winners and center Josep Ortega (201-84) helped with 12 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Girona's coach Ricard Casas used 10-player rotation giving the chance to rest for starting five. At the losing side Bosnian center Nedzad Sinanovic (221-83) responded with double-double 20 points and 10 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Jhornan Zamora (194-89) with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. That victory allowed Girona (5-5) to climb to seventh place. They share it with Melilla and Navarra. Clinicas Rincon (4-6) on the other side went down to tenth position as they recorded their sixth loss. Girona are looking forward to the next round to face higher ranked CB Murcia (#3) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Clinicas Rincon will play against league's new leader Obradoiro (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
