Regular Season Round 6: Bnei Hasharon - Maccabi Ashdod 85-90

The biggest surprise in round 6 of Premier League took place in Hod Hasharon. It ended with Maccabi Ashdod (3-3) road victory over second-best Bnei Hasharon (4-2) 90-85. The biggest contributor to a victory was American guard Ramel Bradley (188-85) with 25 points and 4 assists. Former international guard Meir Tapiro (194-75, agent: Avi Zilberman) helped with triple-double 10 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Maccabi Ashdod's coach Ofer Berkovic used 10-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Ronald Steele (188-86, college: Alabama, agent: John Greig) who recorded 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and his countryman power forward Shawn James (208-83, college: Northeastern, agent: Yossi Gayer) added 10 points and 19 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Thanks to that win newly promoted Maccabi Ashdod moved-up to fourth place. Bnei Hasharon dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share it with Hapoel J-M. Maccabi Ashdod will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bnei Hasharon will play on the road against league's new leader Maccabi T-A hoping to win this game.
