Regular Season Round 8: Elitzur Ramla - Hapoel Y/M 96-99

There was a small upset when 9th ranked Elitzur Ramla (2-6) was edged at home by ninth ranked Megido/Yokneam (4-4) 99-96. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Nate Miller (193-87, college: Bowling Green) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!) and American-Puerto Rican forward Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St., agent: Goran Gramatikov) who added 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all thirteen shots !!!). Guard Guy Lavie (188-92) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and American-Cape Verdean guard Joshua Gomes (190-83, college: E.Illinois) with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Megido/Yokneam (4-4) has a solid series of three victories in a row comparing to four consecutive losses by Elitzur Ramla. That victory allowed Megido/Yokneam (4-4) to climb to sixth place. They share it with Beer Yaakov and Hapoel Afula. Elitzur Ramla (2-6) on the other side went down to twelfth position. Megido/Yokneam are looking forward to the next round to face Hod Hasharon (#9) on the road. Elitzur Ramla will play against Beer Yaakov hoping to win this game.
