Regular Season Round 11: Caceres - Ourense 81-75
Date: November 26, 2010
There was no surprise when 17th ranked Ourense (2-9) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Caceres (8-3) 81-75. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winner was former international forward Lucio Angulo (199-73) who had double-double 20 points and 10 rebounds. American center Jelani McCoy (208-77, college: UCLA) helped with double-double 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ivorian-American forward Jonathan Kale (203-85, college: Providence) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and Central African-French guard Michael Mokongo (180-86, agent: Hirant Manakian) added 15 points for the guests. Thanks to that win Caceres moved-up to third place. Ourense keeps the seventeenth place with nine games lost. They share it with Palencia. Caceres are looking forward to the next round to face bottom-ranked Palencia (#18) on the road which should be an easy walk for them. Ourense will play against Navarra hoping to prove their supporters that it was just an accident.
