Very expected game when 10th ranked Salon Vilpas (4-12) was defeated at home by second ranked Pyrinto (12-4) 80-71. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) who helped to win the game recording double-double 31 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and former international power forward Antti Nikkila (210-78, college: Valparaiso) who added 6 points and 15 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Theron Wilson (195-87, college: Bradley) responded with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his countryman forward Nicchaeus Doaks (202-87, college: Chattanooga, agent: Michael Hart) with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Pyrinto (12-4) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Despite the win current champion stay at second position having just six points less than leader KTP. Salon Vilpas (4-12) on the other side took tenth place as they recorded their twelfth loss. Pyrinto are looking forward to the next round to face league's leader KTP in Kotka and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Salon Vilpas will play at home against Karhu (#7) hoping to prove their fans that this time they can win.
