There was a surprise result when tenth ranked VAP Kolossos (3-3) crushed higher ranked Aris (3-3) in Rodou 89-70. It was a good game for guard Angelos Tsamis (192-81) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. Naturalized American swingman Pat Kalathis (208-85, college: St.Joseph's, agent: Arik Krayn) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Former international forward Christos Tapoutos (208-82) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian forward Dejan Borovnjak (208-86, agent: Misko Raznatovic) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for Aris. Both coaches used bench players and giving the chance to rest for starting five. VAP Kolossos jumped to the fourth spot. They share that position with six other teams including defeated Aris. VAP Kolossos are looking forward to the next round to face AEK (#8) in Athens. Aris will play at home against Kavala (#3) hoping to win this game.
