The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Charleroi's (4-1) road victory over 6th ranked Gent (2-6) 84-58. American forward Brian Greene (204-81, college: Colorado St.) scored 18 points to led the charge for the winners and American-Puerto Rican center Daniel Santiago (216-76, college: N.Mexico, agent: Brad Ames) helped with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Charleroi's coach Giovanni Bozzi felt such comfortable that he used 11 players and giving the chance to rest for starting five. At the losing side American power forward Monwell Randle (203-83, college: SE Missouri St., agent: Side Court) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and former international guard Domien Loubry (186-85) with 14 points. That victory allowed current champions Charleroi (4-1) to climb to fourth place. Gent (2-6) on the other side went down to eighth position as they recorded their sixth loss. Charleroi are looking forward to the next round to face Verviers-Pep. (#7) on the road. Gent will play against Leuven hoping to prove their fans that this time they can win.
