TB2L round 7 most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Pertevniyal (#11) and Istanbul B.B. (#5). It was like a perfect storm and the supporters could not complain on lack of excitement. The teams need double-overtime to determine the winner. Pertevniyal (2-5) won against visiting Istanbul B.B. (4-3) 83-76. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ali Isik (205-90) who helped to win the game recording double-double 22 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Can Korkmaz (187-92) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Pertevniyal's coach used 10-player rotation in such tough game. Center Ibrahim Daloglu (203-84) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and forward Soner Sahin (202-84) added 15 points and 10 rebounds for Istanbul B.B. Pertevniyal jumped to the ninth spot in group A. They share that position with Adanaspor. Istanbul B.B. keeps the fifth position. They have the same record like Darussafaka and Genc Telekom. Pertevniyal are looking forward to the next round to face higher ranked Genc Banvit (#4) in Balikesir and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Istanbul B.B. will play at home against Izmir B.B. hoping to win this game.
