Very significant was Nitra's (#2) 15-point home victory against Komarno 82-67. It allowed Nitra to take over leadership position after Pezinok's loss. Former international center Branislav Tomek (205-83) notched double-double 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) accounted for 18 points and 7 assists. Even double-double 26 points and 15 rebounds by American forward C.J. Jackson (206-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agent: Chris Warren) did not help to save the game for Komarno. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. It was fourth consecutive victory for Nitra. That victory allowed Nitra (12-5) to take over a leadership position. They share it with Nova Ves. Komarno (8-8) on the other side went down to sixth place as they recorded their eighth loss. Komarno will play next round against Vahostav-Zilina trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Nitra will try to continue on it's current victory against eleventh ranked Prievidza on the road.
