Rather expected game in Sesto S.Giovanni where 10th ranked Vomero NA (1-5) was defeated by seventh ranked Bracco Geas (3-3) 71-58. Hungarian center Petra Ujhelyi (192-80, college: S.Carolina) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds to led the charge for the winners and international forward Manuela Zanon (185-80) helped with 13 points. The best for the losing side was Jamaican power forward Vanessa Gidden (193-85, college: Hofstra) with 8 points and 13 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and Montenegrin guard Aleksandra Vujovic (182-80, agent: Yves Lejeune) with 14 points. Vomero NA (1-5) added fifth loss to their record. That victory allowed Bracco Geas (3-3) to climb to sixth place. Vomero NA (1-5) on the other side took tenth position. Bracco Geas are looking forward to the next round to face Basket Parma (#7) on the road. Vomero NA will play against league's second-placed Familia Schio hoping to prove their fans that they can break losing series.
