Regular Season Round 10: Espoo Team - Catz 78-58

The most shocking disappointment of round 10 in D1 was road defeat of their biggest opponent Catz by fourth ranked Espoo Team who outscored them by 20 points 58-78. It ended the series of three consecutive victories of Catz. Guard Venlakaisa Holtta (178-84) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds to led the charge for the winners and international power forward Niina Laaksonen (185-85) helped with 14 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side international guard Vilma Kesanen (173-88) responded with 20 points and Russian center Elizaveta Kityzina (195-80) with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Despite the victory Espoo Team (6-4) stay at fourth position. Defending champion Catz (7-3) on the other side took second place as they recorded their third loss. Espoo Team are looking forward to the next round to face higher ranked FoA in Forssa. Catz will play at home against Kerava hoping to win this game.
