Regular Season Round 5: Amarillida - Aris 51-76

The game with biggest point difference took place in Amarillida where seventh ranked Aris (3-2) outscored much lower ranked Amarillida by 25 points 76-51. Forward Anna Spiridopoulou (182-88) orchestrated the victory with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Maria Bousnaki (172-89) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Julie Stefanidou (172-90) answered with 14 points and guard Iro Valantasi (188-86) added 10 points and 5 rebounds for Amarillida. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players and giving the chance to rest for starting five. Aris (3-2) has a solid series of three victories in a row comparing to six consecutive losses by Amarillida. Thanks to that win Aris moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Amarillida still closes the standings with five games lost. Aris' next round game will be against Panionios (#6) at Athens. Amarillida will play on the road against PAOK (#10) hoping to get finally their first victory.
