The biggest surprise of 14th round was host Shimane (#5) easy victory at home over league's leader Shiga Lakestars (10-4) 97-77. It also means that the series of five victories in a row of Shiga Lakestars ended. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winner was center Will Caudle (206-82, college: Xavier) who had 22 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agent: Side Court) helped with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Lamar Rice (203-82, college: Georgetown, KY) produced double-double 20 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami (FL)) added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the guests. Shiga Lakestars' coach Haruyuki Ishibashi tried 10 players and giving the chance to rest for starting five. Shimane maintains fifth position. Shiga Lakestars still keep top position with four games lost. They share it with Osaka Evessa. Shimane are looking forward to the next round to face league's second-placed Sendai 89ers at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Shiga Lakestars will play against Takamatsu FA hoping to win this game.
