There was a small upset when 5th ranked Akita (5-9) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Saitama Bron. (4-10) 98-82. The best player for the winner was American guard Kenny Satterfield (188-81, college: Cincinnati) who had 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His countryman swingman Bobby Nash (198-84) helped with 21 points. American guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska, agent: Brian Elfus) produced 29 points and 4 assists and Nigerian forward Ayodokun Akingbade (207-84, college: George Washington) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Akita's coach Robert Pierce tried 10 players and giving the chance to rest for starting five. Saitama Bron. maintains seventh position. Akita keeps the fifth place with nine games lost.
