Regular Season Round 9: Givova Scafati - Casalpusterlengo 78-70
Date: November 28, 2010
I am not sure if we can call it an upset between close teams when 8th ranked Assigeco (4-5) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Scafati Basket (5-4) 78-70. The biggest contributor to a victory was American guard Jimmie Hunter (196-77, college: Life) with 23 points. Former international center Roberto Chiacig (210-74) helped with 15 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) who recorded 27 points and his countryman forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) added 4 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Thanks to that win Scafati Basket moved-up to fifth place. Assigeco dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. They share it with Trenkwalder and Aget IM. Scafati Basket are looking forward to the next round to face Trenkwalder (#11) in Reggio Emilia which should be theoretically an easy game. Assigeco will play at home against Prima Veroli hoping to win this game.
