Regular Season Round 9: UCC Demons - Killester 82-90

Another interesting game for undefeated Killester (8-0) which played in Cork against UCC Demons (5-2). First ranked Killester won 90-82. Naturalized American forward Jermaine Turner (195-74, college: Dowling) stepped up with double-double 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and former international guard Issac Westbrooks (190-85) helped with 21 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American power forward Marcus Van (201-85, college: Cent.Michigan) with 25 points and 8 rebounds and former international guard Shane Coughlan (188-79) with 23 points and 5 rebounds. UCC Demons' coach Paul Kelleher tried 10 players and gave the chance to rest for starting five. Killester (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion of course still keep top position in the standings. UCC Demons keeps the second position. Killester's next round game will be against UCD Marian (#3) at Dublin. UCC Demons will play at home against league's new leader UL Eagles to get back on winning track.
