Very significant for Granada was their close home defeat in a game versus Bizkaia Bilbao who edged hosts 77-75. The biggest contributor to a victory was former international forward Alex Mumbru (202-79) with 18 points. Croatian forward Marko Banic (205-84) helped with 15 points. Bizkaia Bilbao's coach Fotis Katsikaris used 10-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Robert Kurz (206-85, college: Notre Dame, agent: Brad Ames) who recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds and his countryman guard Coby Karl (196-83, college: Boise St., agent: Arik Krayn) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. That victory allowed Bizkaia Bilbao (5-4) to climb to seventh place. They share it with Valladolid, Gran Canaria and Lagun Aro GBC. Granada (2-7) on the other side took sixteenth position as they recorded their seventh loss. Bizkaia Bilbao will meet next round Gran Canaria (#8). Granada will play against Manresa (#17) hoping for a come back to a winning shape.
