An interesting game was also road defeat of 4th placed Maccabi Rishon in a game versus third ranked Hapoel J-M 66-75. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Brian Randle (203-85) who led the winners with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his countryman guard Jason Rich (191-86) who stepped in adding 19 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Raymar Morgan (203-88, college: Michigan St.) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Puerto Rican guard Denis Clemente (185-86, college: Kansas St., agent: Chet Ervin) added 13 points for Maccabi Rishon in defeat. Hapoel J-M (5-2) has a solid series of three victories in a row. They jumped to the second spot. They share that position with Bnei Hasharon. Maccabi Rishon dropped to the sixth position with 3-4 record. Hapoel J-M will meet next round Hapoel Holon (#8) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Maccabi Rishon will play against Maccabi Haifa hoping for a come back to a winning shape.
