Regular Season Round 8: Stelmet ZG - PGE Turow 69-73

The most shocking disappointment of round 8 in PLK was home defeat of second-ranked Zastal to eighth ranked PGE Turow 69-73. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Torey Thomas (180-85, college: Holy Cross, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized German forward Konrad Wysocki (201-82, college: Princeton, agent: Patrick King) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian forward Zarko Comagic (201-85, college: N.Arizona, agent: Ivan Asanin) responded with double-double 15 points and 11 rebounds and American center Chris Burgess (209-79, college: Utah) with 7 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. That victory allowed PGE Turow (4-3) to climb to fourth place. Zastal (5-3) on the other side took second position as they recorded their third loss. PGE Turow are looking forward to the next round to face bottom-ranked Siarka (#12) in Tarnobrzeg hoping to win another game. Zastal will play at home against AZS Koszalin (#11) hoping to win this game.
