Leader Aishin delivered the twelfth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Hokkaido 90-80 in Saporro. The former international center J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) stepped up and scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and the former international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (205-85) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds. International guard Hiroyuki Kinoshita (178-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Takehiko Orimo (190-70) scored 25 points. Hokkaido (4-13) added fifth loss to their record. Aishin maintains first place with 12-5 record. Hokkaido keeps the bottom place with thirteen games lost. Aishin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hokkaido will play against the league's new leader Aishin (#1) and hope to secure a win.
