There was no surprise in Ettelbruck where 6th ranked Musel Pikes (4-8) was defeated by third ranked Etzella (9-3) 70-54. It was a great evening for international swingman Jairo Delgado (190-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international swingman Nelson Delgado (186-80) helped adding 22 points. Four Etzella players scored in double figures. Etzella's coach Douglas Marty used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Trenton Wurtz (203-83, college: Indiana St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and international guard Laurent Schwartz (177-89) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Musel Pikes lost their third straight game in a row. Thanks to that win Etzella moved-up to second place. Musel Pikes keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Contern and Soleuvre. Etzella will meet Contern (#6) on the road in the next round. Musel Pikes will play against Black Star and hope to secure a win.
