There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Kyoto Hannaryz (6-9) lost on the road to fifth ranked Akita (6-9) 86-69. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska, agent: Brian Elfus) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 8 assists. Forward Antonio Burks (198-82, college: Stephen F. Austin) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Akita's coach Robert Pierce used a eleven-player rotation which allowed his starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) added 8 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Kyoto Hannaryz. Akita jumped to the fourth spot. They share the position with defeated Kyoto Hannaryz. Akita is looking forward to face Kyoto Hannaryz (#6) at home in the next round. Kyoto Hannaryz will have a break next round.
