Regular Season Round 11: Aalstar - Antwerp 76-63

The most interesting game of round 11 in the D1 was road a defeat of 3rd placed Antwerp Giants to first ranked Okapi Aalstar 63-76. It ended the two-game winning streak of Antwerp Giants. It was a great evening for American-Lithuanian power forward Christopher Young (206-79, college: Michigan, agent: Jan Lugtenburg) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. American center Graham Brown (205-84, college: Michigan) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Roel Moors (190-78, agent: Nebojsa Ivic) scored 19 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Okapi Aalstar has an solid series of three victories in a row. They stay at first position. Antwerp Giants who is 6-4 is currently in third place as they suffered their fourth loss. Okapi Aalstar is looking forward to face Oostende (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Antwerp Giants will play against the league's second-placed M.Hainaut and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
