There was a minor upset when 12th ranked AEK/Argous (1-4) lost at home to fifteenth ranked Olimpiada (2-3) 82-70. Center Apost Koutroulias (206-76) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Giannis Lappas (200-76) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Croatian center Ivan Kartelo (208-79, college: Purdue) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American-Icelandic guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln (MO)) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for AEK/Argous.
