Regular Season Round 15: Toyama Grouses - Niigata Albirex 69-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Niigata Albirex's (6-7) road victory over 4th placed Toyama Grouses (5-8) 80-69. It was a good game for American power forward Zachary Andrews (203-85, college: Bradley) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Senegalese forward Issa Konare (202-80, college: High Point, agent: Chris Warren) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward John Davis (198-84, college: Tarleton St.) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import swingman Brian Harper (208-85, college: Paine) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Toyama Grouses. Both coaches used bench players which allowed his starters a little rest for the next games. Niigata Albirex did not change their third position in the standings. Toyama Grouses dropped to the fifth position. Niigata Albirex will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyama Grouses will play on the road against Niigata Albirex (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
