Regular Season Round 18: Hokkaido L. - Aishin SH 71-87

Another very easy game for Aishin (13-5) which played in Saporro against Hokkaido (4-14). First ranked Aishin had an easy defeat with a record 16 points 87-71. The former international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (205-85)had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds to led the charge for the winners and the former international center J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Philip Ricci (202-80, college: Oregon St.) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds and the former international center Daiji Yamada (200-81) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hokkaido (4-14) added sixth loss to their record. Aishin of course still keep top position in the standings. Hokkaido keeps the last position. Aishin's will play against Tochigi Brex (#5) at home in the next round. Hokkaido will play against Mitsubishi and hope to get back on the winning track.
