Regular Season Round 16: Akita NH - Kyoto Hannar. 78-83

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Kyoto Hannaryz (7-9) defeated on the road one of their biggest challengers Akita (6-10) 83-78. Quite impressive performance for American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Kibwe Trim (208-84, college: Sacred Heart) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Guard Ryosuke Mizumachi (185-81) replied with 14 points and 5 assists and American guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska, agent: Brian Elfus) added 15 points in the effort for Akita. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Akita's coach Robert Pierce rotated ten players in such tough game. The victory allowed Kyoto Hannaryz (7-9) to climb to fifth place. They share it with Shimane. Akita who is 6-10 is currently in fourth position as they suffered their tenth loss. Kyoto Hannaryz's opponent will be Miyazaki (#8) on the road in the next round. Akita will play against the league's new leader Hamamatsu P. (#1).
