Regular Season Round 18: Mitsubishi DD - Tochigi Brex 72-80

Date: December 5, 2010
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Mitsubishi (7-11) lost to seventh ranked Tochigi Brex (8-10) in Nagoya 72-80. It was a good game for American-Libyan power forward Randy Holcomb (204-79, college: San Diego St., agent: Greg Haenke) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds. International guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Power forward Jun Uzawa (197-81) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Kei Igarashi (180-80) added 7 points and 5 assists respectively for Mitsubishi. Both coaches used bench players which allowed his starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion jumped to the fifth spot. They share the position with Hitachi S. Mitsubishi dropped to the seventh position. Tochigi Brex is looking forward to face league's leader Aishin in Kariya in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Mitsubishi will play on the road against Hokkaido (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
