We should not miss the game where tenth ranked Hod Hasharon (4-5) against 7th ranked Beer Yaakov (5-5) where Hod Hasharon won at home by eight points 110-102. American guard Jitim Young (188-81, college: Northwestern, agent: Keith Kreiter) notched 31 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and naturalized Latvian swingman Gerry Gendel (203-80, agent: Zeev Gross) who supported him with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Hod Hasharon's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Jermaine Hall (196-80, college: Wagner) did not help to save the game for Beer Yaakov. Guard Ofir Farhi (187-86) added 13 points and 9 assists for lost side. Four Hod Hasharon and five Beer Yaakov players scored in double figures. Thanks to that win Hod Hasharon moved-up to eighth place. Beer Yaakov at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Hod Hasharon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hapoel Tivon (#5) in Kiryat Tivon and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
