Regular Season Round 10: Haukar - Hamar 73-81 OT

Fourth-ranked Haukar (5-5) gave a tough game to first ranked Hamar (10-0) in Hafnarfjordur. The visitors from Hamar managed to secure only eight-point victory 81-73. But their fans expected easier game. American forward Jaleesa Butler (183-87, college: Georgetown) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds to led the charge for the winners and FYR Macedonian guard Slavica Dimovska (177-85) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Kathleen Snodgrass (175-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and forward Aris Sverrisdottir (175-90) scored 17 points. Hamar have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They stay at first position. Haukar is currently in fourth place with a 5-5 record as they suffered their fifth loss. Hamar is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Grindavik (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Haukar will play against Njardvik (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
