Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Clinicas Rincon (5-8) was rolled over on the road by fourth ranked Caceres 2016 (9-4) 87-64. The game rather controlled by Caceres 2016. Clinicas Rincon managed to win third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Caceres 2016 outrebounded Clinicas Rincon 41-23 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Cape Verdean guard Jeffrey Xavier (185-85, college: Providence, agent: Oscar Garcia) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Ryan Humphrey (203-79, college: Notre Dame, agent: Brad Ames) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Caceres 2016 players scored in double figures. Center Augusto Cesar Lima (206-91) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Jose Pozas (181-92) added 8 points in the effort for Clinicas Rincon. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players seeing no chance for a win. The victory allowed Caceres 2016 (9-4) to climb to the third place. They share it with Leon and Burgos. Clinicas Rincon who is 5-8 went down to twelfth position as they suffered their eighth loss. Caceres 2016's next round opponent will be league's second-placed CB Murcia on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Clinicas Rincon will play against Grupo Iruna Navarra (#6) in Pamplona.
