Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked La Laguna (6-7) defeated at home 15th ranked Leche Rio Breogan (4-9) 81-70. It looked good early as Leche Rio Breogan took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then La Laguna had a 19-11 second quarter charge getting the lead and Leche Rio Breogan was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-81. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (205-76) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Roderick Flemings (201-87, college: Hawaii, agent: Michael Hart) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) answered with 25 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and center Oliver Arteaga (211-83) added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Leche Rio Breogan. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory allowed La Laguna (6-7) to climb to the ninth place. They share it with Girona and Alcazar. Leche Rio Breogan is currently in fifteenth position with a 4-9 record as they suffered their ninth loss. La Laguna's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Ourense (#18) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Leche Rio Breogan will play against Lleida Basquet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
