The most interesting game of round 8 in the A1 was a road defeat of 3rd ranked Aris (5-3) to first ranked Athinaikos (8-0) 61-66. It ended the five-game winning streak of Aris. Aris was ahead by -8 points at halftime and as many as 2 after three quarters before a 24-17 charge of Athinaikos, which allowed them to win the game.
