Regular Season Round 15: Orchy - Denek 81-75

We should mention about the upset which took place in Orchies, where higher ranked Denek (7-8) lost to sixteenth ranked Orchesien BC (6-9) in a road game 75-81. It looked good early as Denek took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Orchesien BC had a 21-14 second quarter charge getting the lead and Denek was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-81. Orchesien BC had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Denek's players. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Gabriel Kennedy (205-81, college: UAB, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Swingman David Cilly (196-81) accounted for 8 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side. Four Orchesien BC players scored in double figures. American guard Larry Blair (183-84, college: Liberty, agency: JEMsports) came up with 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and guard Fabien Calvez (187-84, college: Evansville) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for Denek in the defeat. Orchesien BC moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Denek lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Orchesien BC's next round opponent will be higher ranked Blois (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
