Eighteenth-ranked Volcanes (2-34) made lots of trouble for thirteenth ranked Panteras (13-20) in Toluca. The visitors from Aguascalientes managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Forward Jacinto Alvarez (195-66) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and power forward Felipe Sanchez (202-74) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Panteras players scored in double figures.
