Pioneros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Pioneros outrebounded Jaguares 56-27 including a 39-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Jeremiah Dominguez (168-85, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import forward Nathan Brumfield (196-86, college: Oklahoma Baptist) contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners.
