Regular Season Round 17: Takamatsu FA - Shimane SM 82-74

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Takamatsu FA (5-10) defeated at home 6th ranked Shimane Magic (7-10) 82-74 on Saturday. Takamatsu FA trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually win the game 82-74. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was forward Jefferey Price (203-85, college: Miss.Valley St.) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Rasheed Sparks (190-77, college: Morgan St.) chipped in 7 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agent: Side Court) produced 27 points and 8 rebounds and center Will Caudle (206-82, college: Xavier) added 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shimane Magic's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Takamatsu FA moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Toyama Grouses. Loser Shimane Magic keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Takamatsu FA will face Shimane Magic (#6) at home in the next round.
