There was no surprise when 7th ranked Melbourne Tigers (5-10) were defeated on the road by second ranked Perth Wildcats (11-5) 87-76 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Perth Wildcats. Melbourne Tigers managed to win third quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Perth Wildcats forced 19 Melbourne Tigers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St., agency: Warren Sports International) stepped up and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and international guard Damian Martin (188-84, college: Loyola Marymount) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds.
