There was a minor upset in Stargard where 8th ranked MKS Znicz Basket (6-7) was defeated by eleventh ranked Spojnia (6-7) 63-57. Spojnia was already 16 points ahead at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 15-4 last quarter charge of MKS Znicz Basket cut the lead to 63-57 at the end of the game. Spojnia brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for guard Marcin Stoklosa (188-77) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Rafal Kulikowski (204-85) contributed with 9 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Przemyslaw Szymanski (198-84) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and forward Andrzej Misiewicz (201-84, college: Daytona Beach CC) added 14 points in the effort for MKS Znicz Basket. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Spojnia has a solid series of three victories in a row. The victory allowed Spojnia (6-7) to climb to the eighth place. They share it with Znicz Basket. Spojnia's next round opponent will be Polonia 2011 (#15) in Warszawa and are hoping to win another game.
